The Corvallis Sustainability Coalition is launching two major initiatives in 2008!
- Corvallis Energy Challenge was launched in March 2008. In partnership with the Energy Trust of Oregon, we are sponsoring a year-long campaign to promote energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in Corvallis.
- The Community Sustainability Initiative is a 9-month public process that will result in a Sustainability Action Plan for our community. The initiative includes three town hall meetings and interim work groups composed of volunteers from a diverse cross section of our community.
The first Sustainability Town Hall meeting was held on March 31. The next one is scheduled for June 25. Mark your calendar!
Our Sustainability Education Task Group publishes a monthly calendar of events sponsored by coalition partners.
In addition, we produce "E-Update" - news briefs published every other week to keep you informed of the activities of the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition and to invite your participation.
